Applying for Free School Meals has just got a lot easier
Providing children with nutritious meals during the school day is vital for their health and wellbeing, and the council's new online system makes applying for Free School Meals quicker and easier than ever.
Through the government’s Free School Meals initiative, all children in reception, Year 1 and Year 2 receive meals automatically. For children in other year groups, a parent/carer must apply. The council's new system simplifies the application process and speeds up the eligibility checks.
If you receive benefits, even if your child has a part-time place, please apply Free School Meals through the council’s system. Our school may receive more funding to spend.
