Reading with your child at home

If you are wondering how you can help your child to read at home here is some helpful information to help you. 

Reading regularly with your child is really important and here's why:

 

A child who is read five books a day will have heard;

1,483,300 words by the time they are 5 years old;

Read to daily: 296,660 words

3-5 times per week 169,520 words

1-2 times per week 63,570 words

Never read to 4,622 words
